Letter HE - Post Office closures

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 31st Aug 2004

Dear Editor,

Time is fast running for people to make their views known about the proposed post office closures in Torbay. I would particularly urge those people who have signed petitions, but not written individually to post watch or the post office, to write in as quickly as possible.

Valuable though a petition is, the post office in their wisdom tend to treat it as just one letter of complaint no matter how many people sign it. By writing individually the point can be rammed home even more effectively.

The consultation period ends on September 8th. so letters need to posted quickly. The people to write to are:

John Baverstock

Postwatch South & West

Egdon Hall

Lynch Lane

Weymouth DT4 9DN

David Mills

Chief Executive

Post Office Ltd.

80 - 86 Old Street

London EC1V 9NN

Yours sincerely,

Mike Treleaven
